Police make arrests over alleged Harness Race fixing at Cobram

A champion harness racing driver is one of four industry insiders implicated in an alleged race fixing operation.

The investigation comes after sensitive betting activity involving a race at Cobram in June last year, which stewards and police suspect may have been fixed.

Ross and John spoke with Dale Monteith, Harness Racing Victoria chairman.

He says they fully support the decision made by Victoria Police.

‘We were informed yesterday of the detail, an hour before. It’s been on a need-to know-basis.’ – Mr Monteith told 3AW Breakfast.
