Police members flood the 3AW talkback line after Shane Patton’s vote of no confidence result

Victorian police members have flooded the 3AW talkback line after the overwhelming vote of no confidence in Chief Commissioner Shane Patton’s leadership this afternoon.

More than 14,500 officers voted in a police union poll with over 87 per cent voting no confidence in Patton’s leadership, with the top cop pulling out of an interview on 3AW Drive at the last minute.

“What I would say is perhaps his position is untenable,” Jacqui Felgate said.
