Police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly pinched a handbag at a Brunswick Street pub.

A 24-year-old Geelong woman left her handbag unattended in the ladies toilet inside the venue around 2.15 on August 7.

It’s believed a man entered the toilet and stole the bag and its contents.

Credit cards from the bag were then used a short time later at a nearby convenience store to buy a phone charger and cigarettes.

‘He’s dressed like a hipster!’ said Ross.

Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
