Police on the hunt for man over South Yarra jewellery theft

Police are on the hunt for a man following a burglary at a South Yarra apartment building.

An unknown man has entered an underground car park on Daly Street just after 5.30am on August 5.

Police said he jumped over a gate before breaking into storage cages, stealing jewellery.

The man spent well over an hour loitering around the car park before exiting via the main foyer lift.

He is described as aged in his early 20s, with dark short hair, a thin build and was wearing Adidas clothing and a cap.
