Police have warned people to steer clear of State Parliament on Sunday.

Two protests will be held on Spring Street, organised by groups from opposite sides of the political spectrum.

At 11am, a group called the True Blue Boys are holding ‘The Australian National Flag Solidarity Walk’.

At 11.30am, the Campaign against Racism and Fascism will stage a counter protest.

Neil Mitchell is uneasy about the two protests occurring alongside one another.

‘It’s just got that bad feel about it again,’ he said.

Deputy Commander of the Police Response David Clayton said it’s best to avoid the area, especially if you have children.

‘Unfortunately, there’s been some history of violent acts with these groups,’ Mr Clayton said.
