Police search car park at Essendon Football Club over alleged assault

UPDATE: Essendon Football Club says an investigation into an alleged assault at the Tullamarine headquarters this morning is unrelated to the club.

3AW Mornings revealed police officers were seen going through rubbish bins in the underground car park this morning. 

It’s alleged the incident took place at the cafe at the club’s Tullamarine headquarters, which is run independently of the club.

Police have confirmed they are investigating an assault related matter involving two men after 7am.

There were no reports of serious injuries and no arrests have been made.
