Police seeking public help to solve Oakleigh hunting store burglary
More than a dozen hunting knives, nine recurve bows and two crossbows are now on the streets after a burglary at an Oakleigh hunting store.
Police have made a public plea for assistance following the break-in at the Warrigal road store shortly after 5am on Saturday.
The thieves used a four-wheel-drive to rip the metal bars from the front of the shop.
They spent more than 30 minutes inside the store looking for items.
One of the burglars tripped over while fleeing the store.
The vehicle was last seen on Warrigal Road with the tow rope dragging behind.
