Police seize a tonne of cannabis linked to the Albanian mafia in Melbourne’s north-west

Police have seized a tonne of cannabis in Melbourne’s north-west as part of an investigation into the Albanian mafia.

Cannabis plants were found during raids in Taylors Hill, Greenvale, Taylors Lakes, Deer Park, Keilor East and Rockbank earlier this week.

The cannabis has a street value of about $5 million.

Two people have been charged, including a 47-year-old Albanian national.
