Man suffers suspected gunshot wound in CBD earlier this morning

A man has suffered a suspected gunshot wound in the CBD earlier this morning, with the 26-year-old taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The man was found near the intersection of Spencer and Lonsdale streets at around 3:30am, which led to police shutting down a section of Spencer Street following the discovery.

“Anyone that works in the city this morning will want to steer clear of that area,” Victoria Police First Constable Paul Hogan said on 3AW Breakfast.
