Police are yet to lay charges over a Beechworth shooting that left one man dead and another seriously injured last week.

A 60-year-old man was found dead in the shed at the rear of a Buckland Gap Road home on Thursday night.

The injured man, a 60-year-old who lived at the Buckland Gap Road address, has been released from hospital and interviewed by police. He’s been charged with weapons and drug offences and bailed to appear at Wodonga Magistrates’ Court in May.

A 27-year-old Frankston man has also been interviewed by police and released.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
