Police surround Melbourne synagogue as worshippers mark Jewish New Year

Police have blocked off roads and laneways surrounding a Ripponlea synagogue following reports as many as 100 worshippers are marking Jewish New Year, despite Victoria being in lockdown.

It would be a significant breach of COVID-19 restrictions.
