Police to hit streets of Preston and Northcote

Police will be out in force in Melbourne’s north on Wednesday as they attempt to halt the spate of theft in the region.
Officers will hit the streets of Preston and Northcote as part of Operation Influx.
They’ll be reminding people to keep their cars locked and valuables hidden.
It’s estimated about $2.5 million worth of goods has been stolen from vehicles in the area and surrounds over the past year.
