Police union and government reach agreement over new pay deal

The police association and the government have reached an agreement over a new pay deal.

Industrial action has been suspended.

All police members have just been advised of the outcome by text message.

The association had been seeking 4 per cent – the government was only offering 2 – it’s not yet clear what the final figure is.
