Victoria’s anti-corruption agency IBAC will now be given follow-the-money powers to investigate the misuse of public funds on the state’s Big Build construction sites.

The Age reporter, Chip Le Grand, broke the news this afternoon and stated there’s two aspects of the situation that he’s clear on at the moment.

“The Premier saying that she is no longer satisfied that IBAC has powers to investigate union corruption and that’s why she’s acted, it never did,” Felgate said.

Director of The Centre for Public Integrity and recently involved in investigating crime and corruption in the CFMEU, Geoffrey Watson SC, then reacted to the news today and was questioned by Jacqui Felgate about corruption in this state.
