Popular South Melbourne pub targeted in suspected arson attack

Popular South Melbourne pub, The Albion Rooftop, has been targeted in a suspected arson attack early this morning.

3AW news reporter, Karalee Katsambanis, was on the scene and provided an update on the fire.

Two offenders were seen entering the pub with jerry cans at around 3am this morning.

It’s believed they lit a number of fires on the ground floor, which took firefighters nearly an hour to bring under control.

And a number of vehicles were set alight at a luxury car dealership in Port Melbourne just after 5am.

Three males were seen loitering around the Plummer Street business before they jumped a fence into the yard.
