Port Adelaide faces nervous wait over Ollie Wines, says Sam McClure

Port Adelaide faces a nervous wait over the signature of young midfielder Ollie Wines, says Sam ‘Scoop’ McClure.

The Power have enjoyed a brilliant week off the field, locking away Robbie Gray, Chad Wingard and Travis Boak until the end of 2019.

Attention has naturally turned to Wines, who is out of contract next year, but Scoop said the onballer wasn’t in any rush to commit just yet.

‘As I understand it, Ollie Wines may have said to the club speak to me next year,’ McClure explained on Sports Today.

‘Obviously Port is desperate to sign him before the season, but I’m not sure how successful they’ll be in that.’
