The mayor of the City of Port Phillip has offered the Port Melbourne Town Hall as a venue to a bride after her venue went into administration just days before her wedding.

Heather Cunsolo says she looks forward to hearing what the bride decides.

Press PLAY to hear the latest news

Tara McGie says the venue lied to her face when she visited the location last Friday.

“They went into liquidation at 4:30pm and we were there at 4:30, and we had no idea until Monday night,” she told Tom Elliott.

Ms McGie also says the venue, On the Pier, never called to tell her the news.

“We would still be sitting here thinking our wedding is going ahead … We’ve got nothing,” she said.

She also says she paid 15,000 to the venue and has no idea what to do now.

“I’m just devastated because everything was done, everything was organised,” she said.
