Postie praised for heroic act in Melbourne’s north

A postie in Melbourne’s northern suburbs is being lauded after coming to the aid of an elderly woman in trouble.

Postie Greg was doing his round in Strathmore when he heard someone calling out for help and found an elderly woman who had fallen and couldn’t get up.

He made her comfortable with a jacket and called an ambulance, but his outstanding decency didn’t end there.

Delivery manager at Australia Post’s Airport West Delivery Centre, Ross Larobina, says he’s not surprised by Greg’s actions.

“He’s a good man, always offering up his time,” he told Ross and Russel.
