Prada and Gucci handbags stolen during brazen Collins Street robbery
Two luxury fashion stores have been smashed into on Collins Street in a brazen burglary.
Police said four offenders used sledgehammers to gain access Prada and Gucci around 2.15am on Tuesday.
The metal guard on the door at Prada is bent, while 3AW police reporter Pat Mitchell told Ross and John the nearby Gucci store had suffered even more damage.
‘There’s a huge hole in the window,’ he said on 3AW Breakfast.
The group made off with several expensive handbags, worth thousands of dollars each.
They then drove off in a small, dark-coloured hatchback and were last seen travelling north on Exhibition Street.
