Precious war medals stolen from Cranbourne North home

Six war medals have been stolen from a Cranbourne North house.

The thief struck while the victim was in hospital last month.

The medals include an African Star and Defence Medal which were awarded to the victim’s relatives who had served in the Australian Army.

The rest are a Star 39-45, War Medal 39-45 and Australian Service Medal 29-45.

Police have released an image of the medals in the hope that someone recognises them and they can be returned to their owner.
