Pregnant woman assaulted with hammer during robbery at Noble Park

A pregnant woman has been assaulted with a hammer during an armed robbery at Noble Park.
But the offenders returned her phone because it had the woman’s ultrasound photos on it.
Police believe the woman was walking along Walsh Street around 11.30pm on Tuesday.
Four masked men jumped out of a vehicle, believed to be a Ford Falcon XR6.
They were armed with a baseball bat, axe and hammer.
The woman was struck three times with the hammer, using her arms to protect her head.
The men fled with her handbag, only deciding to throw back her phone after she told them it contained ultrasound photos of her unborn child.
The woman sustained minor injuries.
It’s believed the same offenders were involved in an attempted car jacking at Huntingdale earlier that night.
They’re described as African in appearance and were wearing dark clothing.
