Premier Ben Carroll doubles down on tougher sentencing reform

Premier Ben Carroll has insisted he has fought for tougher bail laws behind the closed doors of cabinet.

He told 3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott he is committed to enforcing tougher sentencing in Victoria.

“I think it is nonsense that incarceration brings people out worse. Incarceration gives them the opportunity to get a trade, get an education and break up their links,” he said.
