Premier Jacinta Allan says Victoria’s new top cop Mike Bush is the ‘best person for the job’

Former New Zealand Police Commissioner Mike Bush has been appointed as the new Chief Commissioner of Victoria.

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan joined 3AW Drive and spoke on the appointment of Bush as the new top cop.

“He is the best person for the job,” Jacinta Allan said on 3AW Drive.

3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate thinks the appointment of Mike Bush is a “great decision”, because Victoria really needed a “circuit breaker” after the election.

She noted that in New Zealand, Bush is known for being tough, and given youth crime remains one of, if not the most serious issue in Victoria, she thinks that’s exactly what we need.

“This is what we need,” Jacqui Felgate said on 3AW Drive.
