The Victorian Government says Premier Daniel Andrews left a charity function once he realised gangland figure Mick Gatto was there.

It’s been revealed the Premier and Mr Gatto were both at Father Bob Maguire’s birthday gala to raise money for homelessness last week.

It comes as the government continues to attack opposition leader Matthew Guy over his “lobster with a mobster” dinner.

“It is not exactly comparable to the lobster with a mobster issue, but still – Daniel Andrews and Mick Gatto – at the same function,” Neil Mitchell pointed out.

“It does bring to mind people in glass houses throwing stones.”

But Attorney General Martin Pakula said the two couldn’t be compared.
