Preston market chef fined $120,000 for cannoli food safety breaches

A Preston market chef who sold 1000 unrefrigerated cannolis on a hot summer’s day has been fined $120,000 for almost a dozen food safety violations.

Traditional Tasty Treats has been convicted of selling unsafe food to customers, failing to maintain a clean kitchen, hand washing offences and other violations.

The owner admitted he’d sold about 1000 discounted cannolis after his market fridge broke down.
