Following news of a Melbourne school ordering students to wear masks, the principal of Tintern grammar Brad Fry, has said roughly 65 – 70 students are out with illness.

Mr Fry said he school has sent out communication “strongly encouraging” students to bring masks to school following an increase in sick students.

“What we’re trying to do is to get more of our absent students away with colds and flus, and a few with COVID, but not very many, to try and get them back and not have further students off campus because they’re unwell,” Mr Fry told Tom Elliott.
