Professor who helped discover gravitational waves

One of the physicists who helped discover gravitational waves says she didn’t sleep for days afterwards. 

‘We’re phenomenally excited,’ Prof Susan Scott told Neil Mitchell. 

‘I didn’t sleep all night. Actually that went on for several nights.’

Prof Scott said this discovery could help us understand the universe all the way back to the big bang.

‘It’s a millennium event.’
