Proposal for ‘priority’ VRC member access to public transport branded ‘elitist’ by Tom Elliott

A lawyer running for the board at the Victoria Racing Club has promised “exclusive access” to public transport on the way home from Flemington.

The controversial proposal has come under criticism from Tom Elliott.

“It sounds like one of the most elitist things I’ve ever heard,” Tom Elliott said.

Matthew Hooper, the man behind the idea, defended his proposal on 3AW Drive.
