Proposed work-from-home mandate could have major implications for land tax
The state government’s push for a work-from-home mandate has received a lot of backlash, with experts predicting that it will have a major impact on land tax.
Tax specialist RJ Sanderson & Associates Roy Sanderson joined 3AW Mornings and spoke about the implications the mandate could have for land tax.
“For example, a hairdresser they can be hit with land tax because they’re running a business from home,” Sanderson said on 3AW Mornings.

“People like contractors who might be an electrician or a carpenter, they have nothing to fear because their work is done not 100% in the home.”
