Public housing resident demands apology from Daniel Andrews over 2020 lockdown
The Andrews government has settled for a $5 million payout to 3,000 public tower residents, after the residents were locked in their houses during the 2020 lockdown for two weeks.
Daniel Andrews refused to apologise for the lockdown of the towers when asked today, with Neil Mitchell claiming it was a big “stuff up” from the Andrews government.
Mohamed Usuf, who lives in the Canning Street Towers in North Melbourne, has demanded an apology from the Premier and believes the 3,000 residents were “wrongfully detained”.
