Public transport chaos feared as major train line closes during Taylor Swift MCG concerts
The Frankston line will be partially closed on the same weekend three sold-out Taylor Swift concerts will take place at the MCG, sparking fears of public transport chaos for thousands of people.
The concerts are amongst some of the most-anticipated major events in Melbourne this year, with buses to replace trains on certain parts of the line from 11:45pm on February 16 until the last service two days later.
“On the way up and down (the Frankston line that weekend) everyone is going be unloaded at Mordialloc to get them to Cheltenham before they get back on the train,” Public Transport Users Association boss Tony Morton told Jacqui Felgate.

“You can make this work, but you hope (the transport authorities) have their act together and they have enough buses.”
The megastar will take to the stage across three nights at the MCG from February 16 to 18.
