Some of Australia’s most iconic films and TV shows could come with new warnings as part of a push for consent to have it’s on classification on screen.

The campaign, called ‘Classify Consent’, emerged after school students voiced concerns over the lack of consent given on screen.

“A lot of young people, students, were finding it really awkward to have consent conversations because they weren’t seeing it role-modelled anywhere,” Angelique Wan, CEO and Co-Founder of Consent Labs, said on 3AW Breakfast.

“And they definitely weren’t seeing it on screen.”
