Push for emergency services rule to apply to RACV
The RACV is calling for its breakdown assistance teams to be given the same protections as emergency services on our roads.

They’re calling for the rule to slow down to 40hm/h while passing an emergency service vehicle if its lights are on to also be applied to RACV vehicles if their flashing yellow lights are on.
Head of policy at RACV, James Williams, says the policy is already in place in other states and “it’s worked”.
“We have 800,000 or so incidences that we attend to every year in Victoria and we’d like to support the same protection to our workers,” he told Ross and Russel.
