Push for MCC members to be able to drink alcohol in their seats

The MCC has given its members a survey to fill out asking if dress codes and booze rules should be relaxed within the iconic club.

Save the MCC spokesperson David Mulholland told Tom Elliott it’s clear the committee does not trust its members.

“I support being able to drink in my seat, I think MCC members would do so responsibly,” David said.

“I don’t think someone who’s waited 20 years to join would behave irresponsibly.

“They ask these questions every year but they never make any meaningful changes.”
