The Legalise Cannabis party has introduced a bill that would allow users to drive if they have a prescription from a doctor and their driving isn’t impacted by the drug.

David Ettershank, Member for the Western Metropolitan region for the Legalise Cannabis party, told Tom Elliott the idea wasn’t about “trying to defend dangerous or impaired” driving.

“This has actually been the law in Tasmania for a couple of years now and it’s happened with almost no publicity and no controversy and everybody seems pretty happy with it,” he said
