‘Put patients before profits’: RACGP president blasts Pharmacy Guild
The President of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has blasted the Pharmacy Guild of Australia for its opposition to a move allowing 60-days scripts for many common medicines.
The Federal Health Minister will today announce the amount of medicine Australians can collect with a single script will be raised from one to two months’ supply.
RACGP President Dr Nicole Higgins says “It makes it easier cheaper for patients, it makes it easier”, and she’s taken aim at the Pharmacy Guild for its opposition to the change.
