RUMOUR CONFIRMED

Embattled Queen Victoria Market traders who are just getting back onto their feet after COVID-19 will be forced out of their stalls to make way for Melbourne Fashion Week and the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

Traders in E-shed have been told they’ll need to relocate for a month for this year’s food and wine festival, which kicks off later this month.

The Queen Victoria Market Traders’ Representative Committee says traders are not being offered compensation, and they’re yet to hear where they’ll be moved to.

Traders have also been told they’ll need to relocate or take a night’s leave for one day of Fashion Week.
