Questions have been raised why the City of Yarra has decided to fly the flag of an African republic, that doesn’t exist.

The council will fly 20 different flags at its three Town Halls, one of them is for the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, even though it’s not formally recognised by any country.

“We’ve got a council that seems to think they are running the United Nations,” Adam Promitz from the Yarra Residents Collective told Tony Jones.
