Gavin Dufty has reacted to John Pesutto’s comments about overturning a gas ban implemented by the Labor state government.

The energy specialist from St Vincent de Paul, says he needs clarity by what the opposition leader means.

“When the opposition is saying no new connections, I don’t know if they’re lifting the ban on new estates and/or infill,” he told Jacqui Felgate.

Shadow minister for energy, affordability and security, David Davis, has clarified the opposition’s position on the gas ban.

He says the Liberal party sees a significant role for renewables.

“There will be more wind, There will be more solar, There will be more other renewables, that’s entirely reasonable,” he said.
