Questions raised over the federal government’s new housing plan
The federal government has passed its Housing Australia Future Fund after a deal with the Greens but questions have been raised about the feasibility of the plan.
Head of investment strategy and chief economist at AMP, Shane Oliver, says the plan to build over 200,000 homes each year will be a “real stretch.”
“We do need to focus on supply … But we do have a question as to whether that will be feasible,” he told Tom Elliott.
