Quick-thinking heroes save man drowing in surf at Gunnamatta
RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A hero’s quick thinking actions may have saved the life of a man who was drowning at Gunnamatta beach.
The Rumour File heard the man was pulled from the surf by people nearby.
Darren McCormack was out on a jog when he noticed the man in trouble.
He said instinct kicked in.
‘He had no pulse, no heartbeat and the eyes were glazed over,’ he said.
It took a matter of minutes for Darren and another good samaritan to bring him back to life.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed paramedics attended the incident and a man in his 30s was taken to Frankston Hospital in a serious condition.
