‘Racism will not be tolerated’: Top doc slams St. Vincent’s Indigenous emergency policy

A former member of Alfred Health’s ethics committee has criticised St. Vincent Hospital’s recent introduction of their Indigenous emergency policy.

Professor James Wilson says the policy implies race is being taken into consideration.

“The list of priorities that people need to consider when assigning a category do not include race, and specifically do not include race because racism will not be tolerated in the Australian healthcare system,” he told Tom Elliott on 3AW Mornings.
