The RACV has backed a push from Lord Mayor Robert Doyle to make 40km/h zones more clear in the CBD.

3AW Mornings has received complaints from several listeners after they were fined for going too fast in zones with recently changed limits.

They said the signs weren’t clear enough.

Cr Doyle said he liked the idea of clear signage at all major entry points into the CBD, or where the limit has been lowered to 40km/h.

Brian Negus from the RACV also supported that push.

‘We still get quite a few complaints from people about it,’ he told Neil Mitchell.
