‘Rare’ decision by Channel 7 ahead of Matildas game

Channel 7 has made the decision to delay the 6pm news to allow for uninterrupted viewership of the Matildas Women’s World Cup quarter final game tomorrow.

The “rare” event has only happened for a few major Australian sporting events.

3AW’s own Jane Holmes told Neil Mitchell “Seven is saying its the biggest night of sport since Sydney 2000”.
