Rare Harley Davidson tipped to break records
RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A rare and highly-sought after Harley Davidson is expected to break records when it goes up for auction next week.
A caller to the Rumour File tipped the 1927 motorbike could sell for as much as $1 million.
It will be sold at Shannons Auction House on Monday night, with a $100,000 plus price tag on it.
The national auction manager for Shannon’s, Chris Boribon, told Ross and John the rumour of a million-dollar bid is an interesting one.
‘It’s pretty rare, in that they only built some 50-odd examples,’ Mr Boribon said.
‘Today, it’s probably regarded as the Holy Grail of vintage races.’
