‘Really difficult to watch’: Former Liberal leader on verge of bankruptcy

Former state Liberal leader John Pesutto is on the verge of bankruptcy after being hit with a multi-million-dollar legal bill.
Mr Pesutto has been ordered to pay $2.3 million worth of legal fees in the now infamous Moira Deeming defamation case.
Political expert Dr. Zareh Ghazarian said a “really difficult” situation was unfolding, which could ultimately trigger a by-election in Mr Pesutto’s seat of Hawthorn.

“It’s been really difficult to watch this,” he said on 3AW Drive.
“There’s a lot of goodwill towards him.”
