A 24-year-old woman will spend at least four years behind bars over a hit-run accident at Ballarat last year.

Rebekah Stewart was unlicensed and had taken the drug ice shortly before crashing into a cyclist on Good Friday.

Father-of-two Christian Ahsby suffered life-threatening injuries which left him bed-bound for three months after the incident.

Stewart pleaded guilty to three charges and sentenced to a six year jail term.
