Palentino took out the $755,000 Group 1 Australian Guineas.

But it wasn’t without drama!

The Darren Weir trained colt survived a protest from second-place getter Tarzino.

Weir struck earlier in the day with Real Love taking out the 3AW Roy Higgins Quality over 2600m.

Selenia, prepared by Robbie Griffiths, won the 3AW 693 News Talk Sport Stakes sprint over 1000m
