‘Red carpet’: Ukrainian community leader takes Putin to task after peace talks stall

The chairman of the Association of Ukrainians in Victoria has called Russian President Vladimir Putin a war criminal as peace talks stall.

Eugene Hawryszko has told 3AW Breakfast Ukrainians are disgusted by US President Donald Trump giving Putin a “red carpet” at talks in Alaska over the weekend

“We’re not going to sit there and give up land that he falsely, and totally without law, has come into a country, taken over some of our country … the people of Ukraine want freedom! ” he said.
