The Victorian Electoral Commission has been asked to investigate a pro-Labor “community engagement” survey of voters that lures participants with a gift card if they complete it.

Charelle Ainslie is running at the upcoming election as an independent candidate in the seat of Nepean and flagged the issue with Neil Mitchell.

She said “alarm bells went off” when her father received a letter.
